Ms. Brumfield's 8th grade Science News
Ms. Brumfield’s 8th-grade Science scholars have been hard at work creating models of extended structures! These hands-on projects showcase their creativity, critical thinking, and understanding of engineering concepts. Way to go, scholars!

The PHS Varsity Cheerleaders competed in the UCA Louisiana Regional on Sunday, December 14, and proudly placed 6th in their category. We are so proud of their hard work, dedication, and school spirit!

DeRidder Marching Festival Results
On Saturday, October 18, the Green Machine took part in the DeRidder Marching Festival. The band, percussion, and drum major all received an Excellent (II) rating, while the Dazzlers earned a Superior (I) rating. Our overall rating as a performance group was an Excellent (II). Congratulations to the Dazzlers for their Superior rating, and to the Green Machine for an excellent performance as we prepare for the LMEA State Marching Competition on November 4, 2025.
Middle School Homecoming Court
We would like to congratulate the PHS Middle School Royal Court for exemplifying excellence during our "Prelude to Royalty" Presentation. You all looked amazing! We would like to send a special congratulations to our Middle School King and Queen, Mr. Trevion Y. and Miss Madison J! CONGRATULATIONS!!! The PHS Middle Committee would also like to say, "Thank You" to everyone who made our "Prelude to Royalty" a success. You are appreciated.
Cosmetology Students
A huge congratulations to our Cosmetology students who completed and passed their first Barbicide Certification! This is a big step in their journey, and we are so proud of their hard work and dedication!
Women in Industry Forum
Our students traveled to the Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance to participate in the Women in Industry Forum.
They engaged with several industry plants in our area, including Honeywell, Turner Industries, Syngenta, OxyChem, Air Liquide, and Dow Chemicals.

Our Plaquemine High students would like to give a big thank you to the Iberville Parish School District for providing every student with a water bottle this morning. These bottles will not only keep our students hydrated but also help quench their thirst for knowledge!
